This extension of the standard NT_ServiceDown Knowledge Script detects if the specified service is down and lets you (1) specify to monitor the service only if it is set to Automatic startup, (2) specify whether to restart the service if it is set to Automatic, Manual, or both, (3) reset the service startup type from Manual to Automatic, (4) trigger an event if the service is Disabled, (5) suppress events if the specified service does not exist, and (6) trigger an event only after N number of successful restarts have occurred in case a service repetitively fails).
