This workflow automates common disk space clean up scenarios from the initial alert through to remediation or escalation.
The attached workflow is very much an example of how Aegis can manage disk space remediation and not a ready to go production grade workflow, this was originally built for demonstration purposes but could be used as a starting point for implementing such a solution in a production environment. The workflow is very dynamic and can be implemented in under ten minutes although it would need some modification to provide genuine helpdesk integration.
It also includes evaluation of the AppManager threshold to determine how much space needs to be freed up when weighed against the current available disk space. The impact of the cleanup is then evaluated in order to determine whether the issue is genuinely resolved, the key question being are we now back below threshold. This could be taken one step further to ensure remediation always brings available space to a given amount below the threshold; say 100Mb under the threshold for example.
