Error (12,001): The maximum number of active connections (64) has been reached. Please try again later.

We have oracle database and AM 9.7 version in our environment. Integration between Siebel and AM is done using AM webservices. we are pushing data from Am to Siebel application but receiving below error. When we restart tomcat issue goes but it appears again after sometime. the user which we have used for the integration is being used by 4 other integrations.

Your license only allows you 64 floating users (which are simultaneous connections), and when you get that message it means you're hitting that limit.

Jason, How are the license calculated? Im seeing similar error, but i dont have 64 CC floating logging in....but i am using 1 user account for multiple integrations

Hi Amy,

Floating licenses are consumed whenever a user account (including any users with admin rights, but not the Admin user who can always connect) of type Floating is connected to the database. So if you have the same user connecting multiple times, each connection consumes a license.

Hi,

did you check with your DBA on the allowed sessions to the database?
(AFAIK the 12001 is an error passing the message from a subsystem - in this case perhaps DB?)
