AM client 9.71 - Only some tabs visible on portfolio screen when different models of same nature selected for bulk update

End user unable to do a mass update via portfolio screen when different models of same nature are involved. Once select various model records on portfolio screen, the only tabs visible are 'General', 'Business Services', Adjustments', 'History', 'Documents', 'Workflow', and 'Subscriptions'. End user can no longer see the 'Asset' and other overflow related Tabs. This was not the case in prior version but started from AM9.7x.

All models selected fall under the same Nature. There may be a "Relevancy" issue with certain tabs. The tabs, such as the Asset tab, should not become irrelevant for selected models under same nature.

Micro focus Case# 02183092 was opened but lab considering it as "Designed" behavior of AM client and requested us to open ER here.

    After lengthy couple months back and forth on CASE and even ER was opened, now MF lab shared following workaround which works for AM9.80 version but not in AM9.71 Slight smile.

    ------------------------------Fix--------------------------------------------

    The value for option CreateSubDetailForLinkedWithMoreThan is 40 by default in Build 12239 onwards; let us set it back to 20.

     Append following parameter on AM connection config in amdb.ini

    CreateSubDetailForLinkedWithMoreThan=20


    The client needs restart to make the change effective. The path of amdb.ini file is shown in Application Designer > Help menu > About > More button
