What a month for Micro Focus Operations Bridge! First, Research In Action named Operations Bridge the overall winner in their Vendor Selection Matrix: Artificial Intelligence Predictive Analytics. And - not one to rest on our laurels - we recently released Operations Bridge version 2021.05, which is packed with new features and capabilities that deliver even more value to your business!
Research In Action Vendor Selection Matrix: Artificial Intelligence Predictive Analytics
First up let's take a look at Research In Action's Vendor Selection Matrix: Artificial Intelligence Predictive Analytics (AIPA).
What exactly is AIPA? Well, Research In Action (RIA) has introduced that term “as a meta market description which includes AIOps and expands the use cases” to those found within Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and application development areas of the enterprise. Their 2021 Vendor Selection Matrix evaluated the top 20 global vendors within the AIOps/AIPA space based on their solution, the company, and the service quality. When the dust settled Operations Bridge (OpsBridge) emerged as the clear winner amongst the competition. Not only was OpsBridge chosen as the winner, it also ranked #1 in customer satisfaction based on the survey portion of the report, and received the second-highest Recommendation Index of 98%! Analyst Eveline Oehrlich had this to say: "The broad portfolio… [and] integrations make Micro Focus an excellent partner for all global enterprises’ journey of digital business transformations.”

Even though we performed well in the report, we continue to develop and deliver new innovations into Operations Bridge. Recently we released Operations Bridge 2021.05, which introduces our OPTIC platform, features Bring Your Own Kubernetes (BYOK) capabilities, provides new anomaly detection and metric analysis, and a whole lot more!
OPTIC Data Lake
For this latest release of Operations Bridge, we've focused on adding features that help your IT Operations team streamline their analysis and troubleshooting processes, find root causes faster, and lower Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). In order to deliver those benefits, OpsBridge 2021.05 now features our Operations Platform for Transformation, Intelligence, and Cloud (OPTIC) Data Lake (formerly COSO). The OPTIC Data Lake provides a single platform for the collection, storage, and normalization of data from all the Micro Focus ITOM solutions, including Operations Bridge, Network Operations Management, and Data Center Automation as well as data collected from integrations with third-party tools. While it's nice to bring all this data together into one place, the real power lies in the machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms that run on top of the OPTIC Data Lake. These algorithms are used to perform analysis such as Automated Event Correlation (AEC) and metric analysis of cross-domain data.
To help lower your total cost of ownership and improve your time to value with Operations Bridge, version 2021.05 introduces "Bring Your Own Kubernetes" (BYOK). The containerized components of OpsBridge can now be deployed on cloud-managed Kubernetes services including AWS Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This capability means that you can now deploy OpsBridge faster on the Kubernetes service that you're already familiar with and using. In addition to managed Kubernetes services, OpsBridge also supports other cloud platform services for databases and file system sharing for cloud deployment.
AIOps over OPTIC
Another value added feature we introduced in 2021.05 is the new AIOps over OPTIC Data Lake with anomaly detection and metric analytics. These new capabilities no longer require you to install a separate Vertica database instance, which simplifies the installation process, lowers total cost of ownership, and accelerates time to value! These new AIOps features include multi-metric correlation, metric forecasting, and time-machine replay - and the best part is they all work natively on the system metric data that's stored in your OPTIC Data Lake.
While those are some of the highlights of OpsBridge 2021.05, there are a ton more features packed into the release - including over 30 ideas from customers submitted through our idea exchange!
