Voting, Expected Behavior and Supported functionalities thoughts

Status : New Idea

We're not to hot about the voting process and the way it's implemented.

It seems that it's a mixed blessing. Voting to add some new functionalities, and we men "new", might be appropriate, but having to vote so past versions functionalities are implemented in newer versions seems odd to us.

There's a great diversity in types of users and the way their business is run, the one to one vote might be good for democracy, but certainly skewed for business processes and weight.

Large corps with infrastructure that includes servers that fit their needs but are not as "mainstream" as Windows Servers for example, still need to have a toll (HPSA, DMA, etc) that support all their environment.

Having to add different tools because support in new versions is postponed for lack of votes would  lead to switch relationship.

Thanks

Pierre
