This document provides information on the Server Automation (SA) Support tools RPM as well as a download link for the latest copy of the RPM.

Server Automation (SA) support engineers have created a number of tools/utilities over the years that can used to diagnose, monitor and even change SA. Many of these tools gather data that SA Support engineers frequently request be run to help in troubleshooting support tickets. The RPM (called OPSWtools) attached to this KM does not come with the standard SA ISOs, and can be installed easily on any Linux SA core or SA satellite server using standard rpm commands. Since the tools installed are not part of the base SA code, the installation of the RPM does not impact any running SA components and therefore does not require any sort of downtime/maintenance window of the SA product to install. This same RPM applies to all versions of Server Automation. The OPSWtools RPM is installed as part of SA Rollups and may already be present on your systems; in which case updating it to the latest version is advisable prior to using any of the utilities provided by the RPM.
