Creating new version of service design as a must when flow input has to be deleted

If flow input is being deleted and new content deployed on Central, does it reflect in service design (lifecycles) that uses that flow ?

If not (as I think) than it could be very inconvenient and might cause in certain occasions, making new designs as a must; meaning a lot of extra efforts.
