Hi all,

in releases past, there were database difference documents. For example,  in the AM 9.32 release notes, there was a section called "Database scheme change". (yes, this is old)

In the current release notes, we don't note any database differences between versions. Perhaps just a section to say "no database scheme changes between AM 95x, AM 96x and AM 97x". Something like that.

Just a note if there are database changes.

Might also include references to the SLO package that alters the db structure for that part to work.

Thanks,

David

  • Hello,

There is one way to see the structural differences.
Once you install AM, there is a folder as example:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\HPE\Asset Manager 9.60 fr\doc\infos

You will see variety of *.xml and *.html files for every version of AM.

For example, in file diff932.html you will see the differences between 9.6x and 9.32

I suggest opening the *.html format as it is more “user-friendly”.

You will paragraphs such as (for example):
    For newly inserted table:

    Inserted table (SQL Name: amHealthCheckItem)
    ##Main field: lHCItemId
    ##Main index: HCI_lHCItemId

    lHCItemId

    ##Type: Long
    ##Size: 4

    dtLastModif

    ##Type: Date+Time
    ##Size: 8

    and so on...
    --------------------------------------------------

    Or for modified table:

    Modified table (SQL Name: amHistory)

    Deleted objects

    ## History_lHistObjId

    Inserted objects

    ## History_lHistObjIddtLastM

    ##Duplicates: yes
    ##Null Value: yes
    ##Fields: lHistObjId,dtLastModif

    Modified objects

    ## HistObjTable

    Size - Old value : '19', New value : '26'

    I hope that helps.

    Boryana Kotseva
