Deleting records from SMAX

In the SMAX should be possible to delete records, at least for Tenant administrator:

  • Locations
  • Groups
  • Roles
  • Offerings

Some of the records should not be deleted from SMAX (e.g. Offerings) due the process reasons (ITIL trasnfer into the Service Portfolio, when the Offerings is deactivated), but it could be possible to delete Offering, when Service catalog administrator makes mistak during Service catalog update.

Deleting of the record could create data inconsistency in case that the records is linked to other entites. Best way would be, if the SMAX would allow deletion only when the records has no associated records from other entities.

    Imagine, you have added 10000+ groups or users by mistake via an integration (for example ldap etc).

    You have to update all of their statuses to inactive manually or via API but you can only update 500 records in one time. This is completely an unacceptable usage.

    Please make mass deletion possible.

  • We also have the same enhancement request. Our customers requested for these functions or features. Especially, Location and Group objects. Their Tenant Administrator(s) created new record by mistake or enter wrong text. There is no way for them to delete or edit it (correct the typo). No tickets have been assigned to these "incorrect" Location or Group record.

    It will be nice for the Tenant Administrator to remove or/and edit these objects. So, the system will not keep the "unused" or "wrong entry" records in these 4 objects.
