For using the e-mail integration, the e-mail sender has to be

  • A known user or contact
  • From a domain listed in authorized domain

To add all the domains into the authorized domain field is a time-consuming job for tenant admins. We not see why it should be necessary to use the authorized domain list in SMAX. If the users is known and registered as user or contact, it should be enough for the e-mail integration. We would like an option for skipping the authorized domain list.

  • The (lack of) functionallity for the OOB email integration using OPB needs focus. I can't see how the current functionallity can work satisfactorily for any customer. We always end up using Connet-it instead....

  • It has been more than year since this feature is under consideration.

I hope this can be delivered this year

  • Having to contact technical operations to carry out a restart of the On premise bridge to allow emails from a new customer/client/contact which impacts ALL integrations on said bridge is a very strange design to be honest.

  • After adding an email domain to the authorized domain at the endpoint, you have to restart the opb, wich potencially takes down the emailintegration for 30 min. So adding the email domains is not only an administative issue, but reduce the operational time emailintegration for smax.

In addition, using the standard emailintegration templates will fail for the new contact until the email domain is added. If the new contact try to reply on a emailintegrationtemplate by pressing "Add comment" in the email, the cotact get a "Your email domain is not authorized" response.

  • Thanks for all the votes and comments. We are looking into this as a future product enhancement. Check the notifications box to be emailed if the status changes.
