Request to enhance Connect-It so that e-mail fetching connector is able to remove HTML tags.

■Behaviour
From mail client receive html mail thru Connect-It
 and map to Service Manager, HTML tag is also transferred to Service manager.


■End user mail operation
html email from Service Manager ⇔ email client,
thus Connect-It will receive html emails


■Enhancement Request
Searched in SSO, KM00744997 and QCCR1E103927 seems to be created.

Requesting to enhance not to contain html tag to Service manager.
This enhancement request seems to be considered before but please reconsider since
QCCR1E103927 has been deferred.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

html email tag should not be included when transferred to Service Manager.

  • Then why did you even suggest to use smart email? Please be careful how you comment, becuase customer is observing each reply.

  • Correct, Smart Email doesn't introduce this kind of HTML header issue.

  • ”SM has provided the email integration known as Smart Email since SM 9.50. This is the recommended solution. Please consider it, rather than using the CIT email connector.”

    Are you saying that using the function Smart email on SM  will remove HTML header when mail is fetched? This message going back and forth is observed by customer, so please type in further information, such as where is this html email fetching will resolve the current issue.

    SM has provided the email integration known as Smart Email since SM 9.50. This is the recommended solution. Please consider it, rather than using the CIT email connector.
