SM JS method doHTTPRequest method to support HTTP operation PATCH

Many Systems only offer the operation PATCH to update an existing record. This is in most cases also the much better REST operation to revise a set of attributes in an existing record.
PUT requires officially to pass the complete record including all attributes. Which is obviously not an efficient way in case only a subset of attribute needs to be revised.

  • Hello  ,

    I found a workaround solution that may help you. Include in your header the following attributes:

    var OverrideMethofHeader = new Header ();
    OverrideMethofHeader.name = "X-HTTP-Method-Override";
    OverrideMethofHeader.value = "PATCH";

    I understood that support for PACTH verb is critical, this feature needs to be implemented soon.

  • Support for HTTP PATCH is critical for implementing integration with DevOps and other tools.
