In a task plan, I would like to be able to use the outcome of earlier tasks in a decision node. So that I am able to enter a certain workflow based on the outcome of earlier tasks.

Use case example: If I have tasks leading up to a decision node through a join, I would like the flow to go to false if one of the tasks has an outcome of failed. If earlier tasks have both succeeded I want to enter the flow underneath true.

  • It would be very useful to use the "result" of the previous tasks in the following tasks. In this scenario, you can use it to take action on the task, you can also show the next task assignee what happened in the previous tasks instead of checking the main log and checking each of the tasks in a plan. It also allows you to avoid security concerns by forcing users to consult all tasks.
