In Interface Layer2 Connections details information is not showing properly

Hi Experts,

We are able to successfully discover the Node and It's interfaces but unfortunately the Layer 2 connection information is not showing in the Interface page.

Kindly let us know do we need to enable some parameters or settings in NNMI side. Below is the screenshot for the reference. Highlighted yellow is the issue.

OS: Windows Server 2016

NNMi Version: 2021.05

Regards,

    Hello,

the L2 connection should be discovered by NNMi and is then added to the database. Please check the xDP sections of a verbose config poll to the devices (nnmconfigpoll.ovpl). They must contain the L2 information in best case if both connected nodes are active network devices (e.g. switches). If th connected device is an end node, the FDB (MAC address table) must contain the information. BTW: Both nodes must be in NNMi.

    HTH and best regards

    Hello Allessandro,

    Thanks for the reply.

We run the config pool again and we can see that xDP sections are unable to produce the details and below is the screenshot for the reference.

Kindly suggest how can we resolve the issue.

    Regards,

    Hello Pranav,

so the nodes seen by this device are not in NNMi. Please check with option "verbose" the 2 entries. Are ethese nodes in the NNMi inventory?

Ok, when the node is shown in the verbose output as xDP neighbor and is in the inventory, it should work. You should open a support case to investigate this.
