I need to poll and monitor only the 10 Gbps interfaces in a group of floor switches.

Hi Experts,

I have NNMi version 2021.05 in my environment. I need to poll and monitor only the 10 Gbps speed interfaces in a group of floor switches.

Below are the steps I have performed, but the other interfaces are still being polled, and incidents are being created for them:

  1. I created a node group for all the floor switches.
  2. Then, I created an interface group by filtering the interfaces using the ifspeed variable and assigned the node group to it.

Are the steps above correct, or are any additional steps required to configure this properly?

Please suggest.

    Hello Azar,

    The approach looks correct to me. For an interface which is still polled but should not be, select one, go to Actions, Configuration Details, Monitoring Settings to verify which settings is used by this interface. Then correct the monitoring settings.
