Not sure if I can provide much help, but a few comments.
About 12-15 years ago, I was able to get NA to run on Ubuntu. From what I recall, there were a few extra things that were needed to be done, but it was doable and worked fine for our non-prod environment. The company I was at didn't have any agreements for support of it, all I can say on that is, I couldn't get support, so when I had issues, I had to reproduce the issue on a supported platform and then I could get help and then apply that fix on to the Ubuntu instance.
My suggestion - open an Idea Exchange. I'm pretty certain there are others out there, so the more people that request it, in theory, the quicker it should be done.
