NNMi Pushing Software Version to uCMDB

Does anyone know if there is a way within NNMi to push the network device software version to uCMDB? We added the software version to the NNMi uCMDB attributes mapping json file. As expected, it was not pushed to uCMDB.

If there are no other options, we will execute the topodump command on the card CITs and develop an enrichment job to update the software_version attribute for the hardwareboard CITs.

Appreciate any and all ideas!!!

Thanks.

As I recall(I may be wrong as its been a while) we can add new attributes in UCMDB side of mapping only. AT that time we reused one of the SNMP attribute m.b sysLocation to pass on the information and then used enhancement rules on CMS side.

    Misaq,

Appreciate your reply. That's what I am seeing also.

We found that NNMi is including the software version in the description attribute for nodes, but not for chassis or cards. There is a separate software version attribute. Looks like we will need to execute a topodump to get the software version information.

Thanks again for confirming what you observed.
