NNM-NA Integration is not responding.

Hi Folks,

I'm encountering an issue with enabling NNMi-NA integration. After clicking the submit button, it keeps loading indefinitely, without displaying any error or success message. This problem started after upgrading to NNMi 23.4, as it worked perfectly fine in version 22.11.

The issue occurs in both the DR and DC setups. Interestingly, when I switched from DR to DC, I was able to submit the NNMi-NA integration successfully, but a few days later, the integration broke. Since then, every time I try again, I face the same loading issue.

I have tried with system user and also created a new user with all admin rights but nothing helps.

Does anyone have any idea whether this is a version issue or something else?

Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,

    A few questions:

What is the version of NA?  I ask to make sure that the versions are supported for the integration.

The other question, was this an in place upgrade or perhaps NNMi is on new hosts?  I ask this to check on the certs - everything that needs to be in place is in place and fine?

The NNMi / NA integration form, nothing here changed?  hosts changed for either side or credentials changed?  Probably not it but might be worth trying to log in to each app using the credentials on each page.

On the NA side, how does the Integration page look?  Do you see the expected information just with it showing as not integrated OR do you not see the NNMi host and other info?

You could turn up logging on each side and see if you see anything of interest that might explain the issue.

    Hopefully this will help,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for showing interest.

    NA version - 23.4

Both NNMi and NA are in place upgrade from previous v2021.11 --> v2022.11 --> v23.4.

On the NA console side, everything looks fine at least, i mean to say it shows that integration enable is YES.

I've tried to reconnect multiple times with different user but nothing helps.

    Any suggestion?

There should be something in  nnm-trace.log (in folder /var/opt/OV/log/nnm).

I agree with Misaq.  Since NA is looking happy, I'd turn to the NNMi side for the issue.  You may need to turn logging up, but this issue may be something where it will log a problem without any extra work.

If you look at the log and it's either wrapped or just nothing there, you can try to submit the integration form again and that should cause the problem to be logged (again, if you don't need to turn anything up).

If your system is super busy, you could tail it to another log just to make sure you don't miss it, but lets see what you find first.

    Good luck!

    Chris
