As of now, NNMi DDPs clearly state in their respective  'NNMi_Driver_Readme.pdf', e.g. for 2020.07

"Note:

o  Uninstallation of the NNMi Device Content Pack is not supported."

Although, thankfully, this a clear statement, and in a place easily found, nevertheless,
this keeps causing major headaches while hunting for enough free disk space, appropriate backup-routines ,
and additional down-time in production  to create a file system backup before installing a DDP.

Please also note:
This need for tackling additional steps involving additional folks to get them done,
is not exactly a recommendation for installing DDPs in a timely manner

Hence below QUESTIONs about DDP installation in RHEL:

 > Would something like a NNMi backup/restore (nnmbackup.ovpl/nnmrestore.ovpl)

     plus a OS' rpm -e <package name>'    work for (preparing for) un-installing a DDP ?

...and if so,

 >  could you please test and support proper steps to allow for smoother DDP installations, please?
