Later versons of APM use Open JDK.  If you are still running with Oracle JDK, maybe it's time to upgrade?  I feel it would be a worthwhile investment of your time.

I'm not sure it's supported to use other JDKs.

 duncan  ours is APM 9.51 its n-1 ideally we must still have options right, since its stabled version? whether 9.60 APM supports open jdk?

Please check https://docs.microfocus.com/doc/Application_Performance_Management/9.60/Release_Notes where it states APM 9.60 is upgraded to Open JDK 1.8.0_372.

I'm not sure if you can use otehr JDKs.  Maybe one of my colleagues can answer this...

 duncan Thanks for info, we are planning to stay in 9.51 itself ,if this supports any open jdk's via browser , if we have no choice or solutions for open jdk in 9.51, then we need to go for 9.60 , in release notes as u said , it support open jdk, we need a clear answer ,whether 9.51 supports open jdk or not ,and we need to use APM Via browser only ,since its smart card enabled in our current environment. So lets wait for more answers.

you should use APM Local Client, which comes with its own Open JDK.

Asaf Shechter  thanks for checking , our prod is now implemented with smart card , so whether local client supports smart card ? if yes whether we need to import any certs related to smart card?

unfortunately, Local Client doesnt support smart card. so you should continue using your browser with Java plugin.

you need browser that supports Java. you can use Internet Explorer, or Edge in IE mode, or Pale Moon.

I dont think Chrome or FF support Java.

Asaf Shechter  we tried Edge but its not working we can login to APM GUI, but that EUM,Script repos, downtimes, etc  which requires popups are not loading,  so whether we need to add addons or extensions ? we need to add to edge or IE ? any open jdk it supports? problem is we cannot use oracle jdk, so let us know which jdk to be installed or to be added as addons please let us know so that we can test
