Are you seeing data for other RUM reports, such as RUM Application Infrastructure Summary and RUM Action Summary?

How are your transactions configured?  Are they based on single actions or multiple actions?  Can you share an example of one?

Hope ur doing well,

We are not able to get data in any of the reports,

we are using single action transaction.

we are using only one url in one transaction, and we have configured 6 transaction for 6 url's for one application.

Can you go to the RUM Engine Web console and drill down to the Probe and check the values of these items:

Plain Bytes Received
SSL Bytes Received
Probe Total Filtered Traffic
Probe Total Traffic
Probe Connection Hits
Probe Page Hits

Hi Mandarx,

It looks like the traffic you are trying to monitor may be encrypted.  Is this correct (traffic discovery will show if it is or not)?

If so, have you loaded the server private key on to the probe from the RUM Engine Web console?  You can add keys and view the decryption stats by going to Probe Management, select the probe, and click on the SSL button.

Hi Mandarx,

Can you attach capture.conf from your Probe?  I forget the exact path on Windows, but it should be in the etc folder in the RUM Probe install path.

Also, it's possible that your RUM Probe is only seeing one half of the traffic (e.g. requests from clients to the web server only, and response traffic is missing - or the responses only, with the requests missing).  This may be why you see connection hits, but not page hits.  Can you analyse the traffic  with Wireshark, windump or netsh on the Probe?

Hi Mandarx,

Once you have confirmed that the probe is seeing both sides of the traffic (e.g. requests and responses - see the 2nd part of my last post), can you try the following:

In BSM Admin / End User Management, edit the application configuration and remove the server IP/port details and add URLs instead, in the following format (using www.mywebsite.com as an example):

   http://www.mywebsite.com/*

Ensure you have the '/*' on the end.

Hi Mandarx,

The recommendation is to add IPs and ports to Application Definition after they have been discovered and captured by RUM.

That will improve RUM Probe performance (especially if you have SSL traffic). So, just in case you will do it, please take Server IP and Port number from real traffic (Session Analysis >> Session Details).
