OBM 2018.11

The browser options allow to color the event background in accordance with the event's severity.

In the current use case, priority has precedence over severity. A prioritization by severity level is not useful.

The operators cannot recognize the actual priority of the event after transfer to incident management. It happens that unimportant events for a test environment with high severity are being worked on faster than events for a production system with lower severity but higher priority.

The request is to color the event background in accordance with the event's priority.

  • The end customer requests some kind of coloring. What do you have in mind with "a better way to visualize the events based on priority"?

  • Hi,

We do NOT plan to implement coloring based on the priority for reasons mentioned in the my earlier comments but we may look into a better way to visualize the events based on priority. Please add your comments with suggestions before you vote for it.

  • We had this idea to use the coloring for priority like it is with severity.

But any other/better way to visualize events based on priority is welcome.

  • Hi,

This request has been rejected in the past in order to provide the consistent behavior across different UI components which works based on severity and that continues to be the stand.

However, we understand that there should be a better way to visualize the priority of the events so may i ask you to update your idea with an ask for better priority visualization?

    Thanks & Regards,
