I don't have any experience with Sailpoint, and I can't think of an existing sbm report that would give this information. The built-in reports focus more on users and groups, but they don't go to the role level.  There are a couple KB articles with examples SQL that will pull this type of data. See if these examples help:

If those queries are not exactly right for your situation, take a look at the schema guide to help. SBM Database Schema Reference Guide - Solutions Business Manager (microfocus.com)  If you can get the query close, you can post questions in this forum and sometimes the community is able to help more.

If Sailpoint can consume SOAP Web Services, you may be able to use our Administrative Web Service calls to achieve that as well:

It will probably be easiest to focus on managing who is in which groups and leave the role assignments against only groups and not individuals.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll let you know what what we come up with, we are leaning towards using groups only like Garry suggested.

Great. Groups are the best way to go. I believe one of the sample queries will tell you if there are any users who were assigned a role directly, rather than from a group. That would give you a good starting point as to how many users needed to be updated for groups instead. Maybe you won't have any and that would be perfect.
