SBM - Notification server log - in milliseconds

Hi,

Our Customer needs to change granularity of notification server log.

They needs to log records in milliseconds (so not in current: dd-MM-yyyy HH:mm:ss).

They have many users, many SBM applications and notifications and it is complicated to find the problem if seconds are the most detailed information.

Is it possible to change date/time and add milliseconds, please?

Thank you

  • Hi Garry,

    Yes there is notificationsrv.log4j.properties file
    (C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\SBM\Common\Tomcat 7.0\server\default\webapps\notificationsrv\WEB-INF\notificationsrv.log4j.properties)
    and you can change:
    ...%X{NAMESPACE} %-5p %d{dd-MM-yyyy HH:mm:ss} [%c{1}] -- %m %n
    to:
    ...%-5p %d{ISO8601} [%c{1}] -- %m %n

Then it works OK as the Customer needs.

It works OK in case you restart SBM services or SBM server. But after you use Apply in SBM Configurator, the default values returns back.

So, we are looking for another way…

    Thank you
