Closure of child tickets occurs automatically when the parent ticket is closed.

Hi,

In SMAX, I want to automatically close all associated child tickets when the parent ticket is closed, but when I close the parent ticket, the associated child ticket is still active. Is there any way to automatically close the child tickets when the parent ticket is closed?

    Depending on the use case there could be a  downstream rule that can set a field value in child/associated tickets. That would trigger a local rule to close that ticket. Process wise you have to justify if it makes sense in your workflow logic. For example, a parent request closes then tasks that not needed or waiting for it to close should be closed. But if the downstream tickets are just related because of some attribute but dont really need closure they might be affected negatively.
