Manual Survey is there a way to enter multiple recipients all at the same time

I have a one time survey requirement that needs to go to quite a few people.  I do not want to create a group as adding those people to that group would be more work than adding recipients individually to the manual survey.

Is there a way to paste a list of users into the recipient field of the "Send Survey Now" screen?  Or is there any other way to add multiple recipients all at the same time?

    Hi Rob,

When you Click on the Send Survey Now button and the screen appears to chose who you want to send the survey to. Are you not able to manually chose more than one user like shown below?

It should be possible to add more than one user in. You can either use the scroll bar to search for a person or just start typing and after 3 characters it should try to workout the person you are wanting to add.

Once you've entered the users and filled in the rest of the information click send and it should go out to all the users in the recipient list.

    Thanks

    Dave

Yes, I can select the users one by one. I have 250 users that we want to send a survey to and I do not want to select them one by one.  Is there a way to paste in a list of 250 users or another way to select 250 users all at once?  Creating a group of users for a one time survey is just as much work as selecting 250 individual users.

    Hi Rob,

There is no way to paste a list into the the form you are trying to use. So one thought I had is maybe if you've created the group beforehand then you just use this group to send the survey to.

You could use the ManagePerson API to add the users to the relevant group?

    https://docs.microfocus.com/doc/SMAX/24.3/ManagePersonsAPI#Assigning_groups_to_users

Now you could also potentially use the Integration Engine to run through an array of users that you want to add to the pre-defined group. I know it might take a bit of time setting up the integration but I can't really think of any other means of editing 250 users to be part of a group in any other way. It would save doing it manually.

You could have a prepare data rule that you add the relevant users upns too. Or if you know some characteristic that is unique to the 250 users then do a lookup against the Person record and then modify that user. Then use the Apply to Each to update the person record to be added to the relevant group.

That's the best way I can think of.

Well that is unfortunate.  Thanks for the information.
