HTML Editor not working


We have a client with Windows 7 SP1 and I.E 11 and the HTML editor does not display properly in the Windows Client (version 9.40). 

Is there anything I can check? The support matrix simply says the below, which they do

"Note: For the HTML Editor to work correctly in the Windows client, the client machine must have a version of Internet Explorer installed that is supported for the web client."

    The problem you are encountering sounds like it may be related to a known issue. Please review the workarounds below and test them to see which works better for your particular environment:


    Change value of registry entry "ServiceManager.exe" in the location below to 8888

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeaturControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION


    1. Modify <Installation Path>/eclipse.ini to add the configuration below to the end of the file


     2.Click <Installation Path>/eclipsec.exe to start SM Win Client.
