VMWare 8.x support was added in CP2023.02, the first CP for this year.

The best approach would eb to deploy at least CP2023.02 having in mind the Support Matrix with the UCMDB versions Support matrix - Universal Discovery Content Pack (microfocus.com)
You need at least UCMDB 2021.11 for CP2023.02.
