UCMDB Support Tip: Root context path in CM 10.01 to enable the mapping to a SRP server for SSO

Hello All,

Please see below the steps for configuring  the root context path in Configuration Manager 10.01 to enable the mapping to a SRP server for SSO:

1. Stop the Configuration Manager service.

2. Open the <Configuration Manager installation directory>/servers/server-0/webapps/ folder.

   a.  Rename the cnc.war file with the desired root context.

Repeat this for all *.war files in the folder.

change  the file name from cnc.war to segment#cnc.war.

Note: The # symbol stands for a slash (/) in folder and file names when defining the root context.

    b. Delete the /cnc subfolder.

Repeat this for all folders with the corresponding names in the /webapps folder.

Caution: Do not change the name of the ds-console.war file or its corresponding subfolder.

3. Open the <Configuration Manager installation directory>/servers/server-0/webapps/root/ folder.

     In the index.html file, change

<meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=/cnc' />

Ex. <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=http://testserver.hp.com/cnc' />

- to -

<meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=/<context>/cnc' />

Ex. <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=http://testserver.hp.com/<context>/cnc' />

4. Restart the Configuration Manager service.

5. Verify that a folder with the new context name (for example, segment#cnc) has been created in the /webapps folder.

Regards,

Irina
