Make Views "Not Active" by default to increase performance

Status : Delivered

hi,

by default if you create a new view in modeling studio it will get a priority of Medium which means it will be re-calculated every 30 seconds. however this it not required as an end user only needs to see the view results on demand.

also all the views which are deployed with UCMDB out of the box should be changed to "Not Active" as usually 99% of the existing ootb views are not used by anyone.

I guess (hope) reducing the number of active TQLs could save quite some load on the system.

thanks

daniel

  • Seems that the first part is already implemented. In Infrastructure Manager you can find the following to parameter:

Default Query Persistency; False; Indicates if the query is persistent
    Default Query Priority; 2; A number from 1 to 5 that prepresent the query priority (1=Low, 2=Med, 3=High, 4=Express, 5=Not Active)

Nevertheless the second part is missing: setting ootb TQLs not active where possible.
