Important Updates to ITOM Idea Exchange

On Friday, May 6th, all ITOM product Idea Exchanges will become private, members-only groups. Going forward, only Micro Focus employees and verified Micro Focus customers will be able to view and interact with ideas. Below you will find some more information on what this means for you and the Micro Focus ITOM Community:

What Idea Exchanges will be affected?

All ITOM Idea Exchanges will be included in this change. For reference, the list is below:

  • Service Management Automation
  • Data Center Automation
  • Hybrid Cloud Management
  • Hybrid Cloud Management X
  • Network Operations Management
  • Operations Bridge
  • Operations Orchestration
  • OPTIC (ITOM Platform)
  • Robotic Process Automation
  • Service Request Center
  • Service Support Manager
  • Solutions Business Manager
  • Universal Discovery & CMDB

This change will also include any new Idea Exchanges in the future.

Will anything on the Idea Exchange itself change?

All functions and features of the Idea Exchange will remain the same. The only difference is the URL of the Idea Exchange will be updated.

If you have bookmarked any pages, they should automatically be redirected, but we recommend updating them to be safe. If you access the Idea Exchanges via the product group menu bar, you will be able to access the Idea Exchange the same way as before.

Will I be able to access the Idea Exchanges?

If you are a Micro Focus customer that has been active within the ITOM Community over the last 6 months, you should automatically have access to the Idea Exchanges. If you do not have access and are a Micro Focus customer, you can request to become a member with the following steps:

  • Go to the Idea Exchange you would like access to. It will be accessible via the same links as before.
  • When you get to the Idea Exchange, there will be a message in the middle of the page and at the bottom stating membership is required. Request membership by either completing the form in the middle of the page or pressing “Click to join” at the bottom.
  • If your Micro Focus customer account email is different from your Community email, please let us know so that we can verify your request without issue.
  • A Community admin will review your request and will either deny or give your account membership within a few days.

If you have any questions or cannot access the Idea Exchange with these steps, please contact Community@microfocus.com.
