Problem:

Is there new support for EXEC CICS LOAD statements added to the product?

Resolution:

With the introduction of the Hot 13 for 3.2 MWB, support has been added for EXEC CICS LOAD statements so that they are recognised as a data port out construct. This means that the following statement now has extra properties.

           EXEC CICS LOAD    PROGRAM   (MYPROG-NAME)
                             SET       (MYPROG-PTR)
                             HOLD
           END-EXEC.

The EXEC CICS LOAD statements now generate their own Loads/LoadsDecision relationship, which is created when the statement is successfully verified. Within clipper there are a number of pre-defined CICS queries under the Data Ports general heading for Cobol files. In the CICS section are some queries for CICS Ports including CICS LINKs CICS RECEIVEs, but not CICS LOADs. Attached to this KB is an example of an exported XML clipper query that would allow CICS LOAD statements to be found.
