Problem:

After installing Enterprise Analyzer and its license, an error is received stating that there was an "Unexpected Error connecting to license manager: Value of '-3' is not valid."  There may be a different negative value for different users.

Resolution:

This generally indicates that the license file has become corrupted.

There are a few possible cures for this, most of which require help from SupportLine personnel.  To ensure fastest assistance, when you open the SupportLine Incident, please attach the following files to the incident along with the description of the problem:

lservrc.stn
lservrc.net

This will enable us to quickly check for problems and resolve the issue more quickly.
