IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of 21 February, anything posted in this community WILL NOT BE MIGRATED to our new community site. We have pulled all user information and data from this site and are now in an approximately week long process of importing users, roles, and data to our new site. We are leaving this site open and active so you can post and hopefully get a response until the migration is complete. After verification, it is possible to view the source in the Enterprise Analyzer browser EDIT view by double clicking the entity, example : PROG.CBL. When accessing the same program in Interactive Analysis, the source pane is empty. What could cause this problem and how can it be avoided ?
The EA browser EDIT pane, shows the actual source from the file registered in EA.
Interactive Analysis shows the detail stored in the repository after verification, so if there is a reason for failure during verification, the detail may not have been stored in the repository.
For example, if the verification fails with
SEVERE 701: Program was found in the repository without any references from a legacy file.
Enterprise Analyzer found inconsistency in the repository and attempted to fix it.
The solution to this problem is
1. Remove the offending source file from the workspace
2. Re-register the source file
3. Re-verify the source file.
