If a Manual test has updated (new steps added) after it has been:

  • Planned
  • Run and in progress
  • Fail and need to rerun later

it will not include the changes:(

I think the latest version should always by picked as default

Hi @Jesper

Use case #1 (while run is planned) is something we're planning to handle.

However if the run already has steps, and perhaps some have statuses, attachments, links to defects.. are you sure you would like the steps to be recreated?

Please note that after we complete use case #1 there will be a workaround for #2,3 - duplicate the run, then you get a fresh planned run with the same properties.

Nice to hear about Planned run because its a big problem in most workspaces.

For the other I guess maybe users should be asked if test case have been update if they want to use the latest version or the version the started. But on the other hand would the ever want to use an old version? I will aske a bit around....
