Pasting screenshot to Comments in Octane

It's possible to paste screenshot to Description without prior saving file, but this option is missing when screenshot should be pasted to Comments. So, at first it should be saved somewhere and then attached as a regular file.

Could you please add this feature to one of the next versions?

This would be great to have....for at least two reasons....

1 - Current ALM allows images to be part of Comments and Descriptions so moving to Octane we loose a valuable feature...we are stuck with adding attachments again

2 - Now that Micro Focus Connect allows for syncing of Comments between 3rd parties (Azure DevOps in my case) we get errors and no Comment at all is created in Octane if there is an image on the 3rd party tool side.

Should be standard feature for all Memo fields

  • OK it works with the insert icon - but handling is cumbersome with...
    • ... no copy/paste
    • ... no drag & drop
    • ... the picture size. Resize with the mouse would be great
  • Comment field should be of type Memo with the same handling (as described in the bullet above)

In MF connect we configured 20+ Connections for synchronising issues between jira and octane. Comments synchronization is supported by Connect, but we discovered that attachments (that are commonly added to issues in jira) can't be synchronized to octane in comments, since adding attachments to comments in octane is not supported.

Here how screenshot added to comment in jira looks like in octane - comment itself + attachment name, attachment is added to attachments, which is great, but it's not linked:
