Set field value by copying a field from another entity

Each entities have differents data and sometime some data are common between some entities.

In my case, I have a field that I fill in the requirement entity and that I would like to have synchronized with another field from the defect entity.

Could you please provide more details on this specific example in which you're synchronizing fields between defects and requirements?

We have been working on a set of capabilities for related entities, such as the ability to see related entity fields in a grid, the ability to group by related entity fields, etc. But these will  only be available for many-to-one relations, such as defect to feature or run to test.
