Re: new filter capabilities for lists and releases : CONTAINS, BEGIN WITH or such

Today the filter for list of values is very limited (equal, no equal, …).

I have already requested to add an kind of IN (to choose A ou B in a list for example) and we’va talked about that.

Now I have a broader request because users are trying to filter from a list of releases (and they have many releases as Octane does no attach automatic runs to sprints LL)

And filtering from a release requires to have some kind of BEGIN WITH or CONTAINS

For example if you have releases 1.0.0,1.0.1,1.0.2,1.1.0,1.1.1,1.2.0 and so on you often want to see all releases starting with 1.1 for instance

So being able to filter by BEGIN WITH 1.1.

Thanks

@yael Cross-filtering might not be available.
We have the multi-value field "F-Target Releases", however you can see there is no cross filter possibility.

Hi Yael,
Cross filtering is available for release but a filter on '1*' for the release name does not return anything so it does not work

Hi Yael,

As mentioned, the wildcard does not work in cross filters and anyway, the cross filter is not available for most list based reference fields

Is this what you tried?

@the_coder is the field "F-Target Releases" that you have a reference field to Release or a list field with string values? Can you please double check?

It is a list field.
