Migrate Gitlab issues to Octane

Hi

Was wondering if there was an easy way to migrate all issues from Gitlab to Octane.

Thank you.

Re: Migrate Gitlab issues to Octane

I'm not familiar with any official tool for moving issues from GitLab to ALM Octane, that said these are the options that come to mind

Export CSV from GitLab and import it as Excel file after some manual manipulation, see https://admhelp.microfocus.com/octane/en/latest/Online/Content/UserGuide/how_import_backlog.htm
On how to import backlog items to Octane using Excel

Another option is to use Tasktop integration hub, they have connectors for Octane and GitLab, so I'm guessing it would be possible to do one time import that way

You can always use REST api exposed but GitLab to read issues and push them using Octane REST api into Octane

If you decide to use the REST API, you can find the following client libs very useful: gitlab4j(just google it) and https://github.com/MicroFocus/ALMOctaneJavaRESTSDK

Good luck!!!
