ALM Upgrade

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am taking up an ALM upgrade project from 12.2 to the latest 15 version. Is there any standard up gradation process or tools that can be used for this upgrade?

Thanks.

Regards,

HK

Hi there,

There are some upgrade / installation guides here:

https://admhelp.microfocus.com/alm/en/15.0-15.0.1/online_help/Content/installation_guides_main_page.htm

(Statements expressed here are mine alone, and do not reflect the opinions of my employer.)

Thank you very much @Mark McNamara ..that helps.

Is there a place I can download the trial version of both (ALM 12.2 and 15) ?

I want to do a mock upgrade before I do it on live system?

Thanks.

Hi @Mark McNamara ,

We have 12.2 version of ALM installed on a Virtual Machine and ALM DB is on a different VM.

For me to upgrade to ALM 15, without loosing the existing data, what is the best way?

There are 4 - 5 options mentioned in the installation guide. Now sure which one to follow.

Any suggestions please?

Aim is to:

To keep the down time to minimum

To make sure the existing scripts and data are not corrupted and re usable.

ALM 15.0.1 can be downloaded here https://www.microfocus.com/en-us/products/quality-center-quality-management/download

For trial license please contact ALM sales team.
