Can data be moved from Enterprise Tester to HP ALM v12?

I have a customer that is interested in using HP ALM  but currently have their test data in enterprise Tester. Does anyone know if it is possioble (and how easy) to move data into HP ALM?

Re: Can data be moved from Enterprise Tester to HP ALM v12?

I don't know if any specific tools for moving data between Enterprise Tester and HP ALM.

First question is, can you get the data out of ET into another format, and if you can, what formats? Or, does it have an API to let you get the data?

HP ALM has a COM based API and a REST API, either of which can be used to add data to HP ALM. If ET also has an API, you could write a program to access the APIs to extract the data from one system and push it into the other.

HP ALM also supports importing data from an Excel spreadsheet. If you can export your ET data to Excel, and format it correctly, you can use the HP ALM Excel add-in to then import the data. That import works only for certain entities - Requirements and Test Cases. You couldn't use it to import Test Results, for example.

Thanks Trudy, I was hoping someone in the forum had some experience with Enterprise Tester and would know of any export capabilities. Guess I'll have to dive into the tool myself.....
