Does Copy Project copy attachments for deselected entities?

Jump to solution

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Quality-Center-Support-and-News/Copy-defects-carrying-same-defect-numbers-to-new-project/td-p/6592124

a user indicated that when the Create Project by Copying Existing Project functionality is used, that all attachments throughout the project will be copied, even if they are attached to entities that are NOT included in the copy selections.

Is that true?

Hello Trudy Claspill,

Hope you are doing fine.

According to your question, let me tell that this is not true.

When you are Copying from a Project, if you select just the Requirements module, just the data that are included in this module will be copied, therefore just the attachments that are in Requirements module will be copied.

Hope this helps to clarify your doubt.
