How to retrive the Requirement type of an object when using Req Coverage Tab in Test Plan Module ?

Hi,

I am trying to retrive the requirement type of a selected object in the requirement tree when clicking to add a requirement object to the Test Case Req Coverage table.

I would like to create a validation function to prevent the user from adding invalid requirement types to a test case coverage table, i managed to get the req objects (using GetCoverList() method)  after it was added but not when the action "act_add_to_cover_single" is executed, basically i planning to prevent the action from executing if the req object type is invalid.

please see the attached screenshot.

any ideas ?

Thanks in advance,

Ofir.

You could capture the fact that the action is being executed by modifying the ActionCanExecute workflow, and tell it to call your validation routine when the action is triggered. However I'm not sure how you would know which requirement was being added at that point.
