Important Notice: Quality Center Forums Reorganization

Hi all,

 

Since the migration of the ITRC forums into the community, you should have noticed that in some product areas that are multiple forums for one product. We did this after the migration to make sure that the ITRC members could find their specific forum.

 

Now after 7 months, we will be combining a number of forums together so that you only have one forum where you can submit your questions or search for specific information. All bookmarked posts will still work after we merge the forums together.

 

For the Quality Center subcategory this means there will be the following forums:

  • Quality Center Support and News Forum ( this is a combination of Quality Center Support Forum , ITRC Quality Center Forum and Quality Center Information and News  )

  • Quality Management Best Practices and Methodology

 

We also will be reorganizing the Software portion of the community by consolidating, moving or removing specific categories and forums. The goal will be to make it easier to find the specific categories and forums. We will keep you updated via this post.

 

This will take place in the week of February 6th .

When the ITRC forum was originally migrated in, all the thread links that folks added into their posts (i.e. comments like "Refer to this thread http://....") broke. They now all lead to the generic post that indicates the forum was moved. Is there any way to correct those links now? Can we ensure that problem will not be compounded by the merging of the forums?

Thanks for your feedback. All links that you have put in your posts should still work. This regards the posts in this community, not those that came from ITRC.

 

Do you have any examples where the members refer to  ITRC links within a post that gave an error message. I will try to see if I can fix this issue.

You can just do a forum search for "threadid" if you want to find all of the broken URLs.  😉

google finds ~ 37,000

Only a moderator can track down that URL.  Or you can use forum forensics to guess it is this topic by Justin:

I am sorry but I have been out ill for the past week, and the work that I have been doing has been in reorganizing the forums, so I haven't look at the broken links yet. I will do so next week.

I tried to locate it, but I was not successful. What I did see that another post was referring to the post in the url you provide and it also had a broken ink. I was able to fix that one.

Hi Bill,

 

The new reorganization of the Forms looks very exciting.

I just have one small feedback that, if the Filter functionality could come in.. like one can search with the NEW POST ; SUBJECT ; AUTHOR: DATE ; Similarly Solved or not solved....

 

I find the new forms quite impressive..
