Limit the size and type of attachment

Hi,

In the ALM 11, is there a mechanism to limit the size and type of files to be attach into QC projects?

This can  be accomplished via workflow.  You can check size as well as attachment type as part of a post that will limit the uploading of assets.

Is it OTB or complex customization? Will it have any performance issue?

It's not implemented directly oob, but the OTA calls are oob, all part of project customization..  And there are no issue with performance.

Hi, May I ask what is the reason for wanting to limit the size?

A side  note on attachement size

There is a limit to the size of attachements that are sent by mail set by a parameter ATTACH_MAX_SIZE in SA

Possible values: number in KB

Default value: 3,000 KB

Description: The maximum size (in kilobytes) of an attachment that can be sent with email from ALM. If the attachment size is greater than the specified value, the email is sent without the attachment.
