Disable DEP settings on your OS.

This patch is not applicable to v10.0

Right click on my computer->Properties->Advanced->Performance settings->Data Execution Prevention.....Ensure it's checked to first radio button....if not, do it and reboot your machine.

IMP: Load only .Net add-in and try recording....Your app may crash...if you load multiple add-ins; which are not required.

Let me know, how it goes?

Hi Shivram,

I tried it, but the problem still persisting.
I refered patches available for QTP9.5-.Net add-in in HP website and i got QTPNET_00009 patch which was defined as :

This patch fixes a problem in which QuickTest
sometimes closed or stopped responding while
spying, recording, or running steps on controls of type System.Windows.Forms.ErrorProvider or
System.Windows.Forms.ToolTip.

I would like to know whether this patch would help to recover from my problem?

Hi Ramesh,

Yes, I think this patch should help you in some ways.

My error matches extact description of this patch, but I am using QTP v10.0 and wondering who will help me 😞

If you are successful in implementing this patch, please keep me updated. I shall also try to downgrade QTP & apply patch.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Not required.

Ensure you close QTP before running the patch.

Refer patch "Read Me" for more details.
