Quality Center Enterprise 11.0 Excel Add-ins stopped working

I've just noticed that my excel spreadsheet has lost it's Add-Ins tab.

I'm on office 2010 which I don't think has changed.

I downloaded it again and it reappeared but when I click on 'Export to HP ALM' there is a compile error.

The only thing that has changed is that I've upgraded to IE11 and am running HP 11 incompatibilty mode.

Has anyone any ideas as I need to import some tests?

Most of the time MSCOMCTL is causes these kind of issues.

try registring it manually ( you can also get it from working machine n register)

Manually register the 'Mscomctl.ocx' as per the below.

  • For 64bit OS, Run the following command in the cmd window with admin privileges.
    Regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\mscomctl.ocx
  • For 32bit OS, Run the following command in the cmd window with admin privileges.
  •  Regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomctl.ocx
