Scheduling UFT Tests

Hello Experts,

I would like to understand the easiest way to run a UFT script daily.  We have a task that needs to run daily at 2:00 am, and I would like it to run automatically each day.  Is this possible?  The tests are all on QC.

Thanks!

Hello Cody,

There is a way to shedule test set in ALM with the Run test Scheduler tool, you can check the information in the following link:

https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM1395031

Please take in mind that the tool is courtesy provided by HP and is not supported.

Thank you for the suggestion Sue.  I created the command line, and I get the error "Cannot create ActiveX component" when I try to run it.  Since this isnt supported by HP, am I on my own to figure out why it is doing this?

Here is what I added to bat file:

RunTestSetScheduler_ALM.exe /s:http://localhost:8080/qcbin /n:DOMAIN /d:Automation /u:qcuser /f:Root\Daily Tasks /t:[12]End_of_Day  /h:UFTWS01-F /l:False

Thanks,

Cody

Cody,

Yes, unfortubely the tool is not supported by HP and support will not able to address the issue with the tool.

Hi Cody,

Your issue is more related to Windows rather than HP. To run tools in 64-bits environments, you should check first the following link:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2429477/cannot-use-createobject-from-vb-scripts-on-windows-7-x64

From HP, you'll need to Register the Client Components first and install the Connectivity Add-In
