User Defined Field In Test Plan

I have created a user-defined field in Test Plan in QC 11.  In one of the test case, I enter "123,456,789".  I have created a custom excel report in Analysis View.  I run a simple query.  When the report completes, I see "123456789".  I need the commas to parse.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

Is your custom field defined as a number or as a string? If defined as a number consider changing the Type to String.

The problem of QC is that it does not know Real number type of field and DataTime type of field.

The result:

 - you cannot count number like 2.5 so even display them in graphs

 - you cannot count times so even display them  in graphs

You have to use string type of field and count and create graphs in external application like excel.
